November 2024, Week 1

*Today at church I appreciated the testimonies of several ward members, who were willing to share some big challenges they are facing.  One sister is getting a divorce and is trying to let go of anger.  An older brother fell off a ladder a year ago and broke his two legs, and is struggling with the recovery.  A sister who has had struggles to find employment for years, who recently moved and then moved back, shared how her daughter suffers from depression and hit rock bottom this week, and she feels helpless about it.  Another sister lost both her mom (from cancer, a year ago) and her dad (from suicide, two years ago) in November, and it is a really dark, hard time of the year for her, and she feels like the people of the Brother of Jared, buried in the depths of the ocean.  But all four of these saints pointed out that God is still there with them.  There is still hope because of Him.  It was humbling.

*Two other sister shared their experiences in the temple, and how they find Jesus there through their covenants.  The temple brings them peace because of Him.  It was uplifting.

It was a delight!
